Dr. Hilary Cashman MA PhD (Cantab) worked for over 20 years in prisons as librarian, running programs to promote literacy and encourage family reading. Her “Superdads” project secured funding for prisoners to record storybooks on cassette to send to their children. For over 30 years she has helped to support and advocate for survivors of clerical abuse.
Her publications include Christianity and Child Sexual Abuse (SPCK, 1993). In the 1990s she was privileged to know and support the work of Sr. Imelda Poole in a deprived area of Teesside. She is married with children and grandchildren and lives in Teesside, England.
