    Trustee

Sue Perkins was born and raised in Sale, Cheshire, and attended Loreto Grammar School in Altrincham. She later earned a degree in Clothing Design and Technology from what is now Manchester Metropolitan University.

With a strong interest in child development, she completed a BTec in Childhood Studies in 1994 and worked for over a decade as a Teaching Assistant, specializing in Special Educational Needs and Early Years education.

Her formation in Practical Theology through the LIMEX program, in collaboration with Loyola University New Orleans, deepened her commitment to Ignatian Spirituality, which continues to shape her personal and professional life.

In 2011, she returned to Loreto Grammar School as Lay Chaplain, a role she held for 11 years. During this time, she led multiple student visits to Loreto schools in Kolkata, India, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of the Loreto Sisters on girlsโ€™ education.

She continues to support chaplaincy work within the English Loreto Schools and Colleges and currently coordinates the Friends of Mary Ward Northwest group. Deeply inspired by Mary Wardโ€™s life and vision, she remains committed to contributing meaningfully to the global Mary Ward community.
