Collaborative Research: “Enhancing Cultural Competency in Addressing Modern Slavery”
We are delighted and grateful to share with you all, the concluding shared learning event consequent to a collaborative research between the Bakhita Centre for Research on Slavery, Exploitation and Abuse, and Mary Ward Loreto, on “Enhancing Cultural Competency in Addressing Modern Slavery”. The event was hosted by Bakhita Centre and Medaille Trust, at Saint Mary’s University Twickenham, reaching out to as many stakeholders in the UK to assist in their work in supporting Albanian victims and survivors of human trafficking. The findings of the research, the insight provided by URAT members, and the open discussions among the representatives from the UK and Albania, play a significant contribution in shaping future practices in addressing modern slavery and the issues of illegal migration and exploitation.
