Overview:

The youth programme we run targets 4 areas in the north of Albania. The projects equip each young person with skills and training in various in-demand areas of work such as Hairdressing, Plumbing and Tailoring. Each person receiving training are also offered real-life internships/work placements to practice their new skills and also given tool kits necessary to be able to work in their new professions to help ease their transition to self-employment.

What we will do:

In addition, to running the youth empowerment training we also will be helping youths with job training such as interviews and CV writing. Young people who benefit from the training program are also encouraged to identify needs in their local area and execute projects that meet these needs. Additional training is offered in entrepreneurship on writing a business plan and how to find start up funding.

What will be the impact:

More young people in the most marginalised areas of Albania will be helped to learn work based skills and be given a helping start in finding work. In previous years almost all participants of these programs secured employment as a direct result of their new skills.
